I went to my grandparents 50th anniversary part on Friday. As some of you may know I was originally not going to go, mostly for personal reasons but decided to go regardless. Turns out, the trip wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. In fact the only bad part about it was not being able to sleep in my own bed. But I think that's common among the majority of people who leave home.

I forgot just how loud, crazy, and awesome my mom's side of the family can be. Plus I got to see a bunch of family members that I haven't seen in 6+ years. Friday was the actual party, if you want to call it that. It was mostly just a bunch of loud italians eating dinner in a restaurant. I'm sure we drove everyone else crazy with the sheer volume we talk at but oh well, it's how we do. =) Saturday was a slow but still fun day. We played the craziest game of Uno the world has ever seen. There was so much cheating attempts and other people trying to screw others into taking more cards, but all in good fun. It was hilarious, you had to be there.

Sunday was the day I came home, and although I had fun, I am glad to be home. There's just nothing like being able to sleep in your own bed. Plus it was 2 and a half days without the internet! But since there was so much going on, I didn't really care until I got home. XD

IN OTHER NEWS

The day before I left, I was very shocked and upset to hear that Michael Jackson passed away. I was going to write a blog about it before I left, but I didn't have the time. I don't even know where to begin on this subject... it's so terrible to think about the amount of shit he had to put up with from the media and the general public for choices he's made in his life. Like bleaching his skin or getting plastic surgery on his nose. And of course there's the thing that everyone associates him with: being a pedophile. But anyone who has ridiculed him for any of those things is completely ignorant. They obviously have no idea what made him change his physical features (cancer and abuse; for a more extensive explanation, do your own research), and must not realize that he was proven innocent on the molest charges made against him. And now, the man who made these accusations has now come out and said it wasn't true.

Perfect timing, asshole.

But with all these things surrounding him, people seem to forget how great of a person he REALLY was. He's donated to so many charities, always been a kind hearted man, and of course one of the greatest performers that will ever [moon]walk the face of this earth. And those are the things that he should be remembered for.

Rest in peace Michael, you'll never be forgotten.

And then on my way home, I heard that Billy Mays also died. For those who don't know who he is, he was a very LOUD TV advertisement guy in the US who started with ad's for OxyClean, and ended up doing many more after that. Now his death didn't hit me as hard as MJ but it was still pretty sad to me. It'll be weird not hearing him shout advertisements at me on my TV anymore. Rest in peace, Billy.

Plus there were so many other deaths that took place in the last week it was insane. It was a frickin bad week for celebrities. Lets just hope this week isn't more of the same.

Alright, enough with the depressing matters. I'm going to a freaking CONCERT tomorrow, yo! Aerosmith and ZZ Top, looks to be a pretty epic show. I wonder if I'll come hom partially deaf from this one like I did after I saw Heaven and Hell w/Megadeth last year. XD
